Lal Krishna Advani lamented the other day the absence of somebody like
the late V P Singh who could raise the banner of revolt against the
Congress leadership from within in this season of scams that makes the
alleged Bofors gun deal kickbacks seem the work of a pickpocket!
His remarks to The Indian Express are an admission at once of the
principal Opposition’s limitations in acquiring the moral high ground
VP attained on being thrown out of the Congress for doing the
unthinkable — challenging his parent party on probity in public life.
The anti-Congress sentiments that he whipped triggered first the
emergence of the Jan Morcha and than its more evolved edition, the
National Front.
VP attained political respectability through the companionship of the
Left and a mass reach that came with the logistical support of the BJP-
RSS. His was a government supported from outside by the political Left
and the Right. The politics of Mandal and Kamandal caused its
premature downfall spearheaded by none else than Advani, then a much
celebrated rath yatri. Unlike in the late 1980s when the country was
under the Congress’s single-party rule, it isn’t all that easy today
to rally the entire Opposition against the UPA which itself is a multi-
party conglomeration. In the intervening years the country witnessed
events — Ayodhya in 1992 and Gujarat in 2002— that caused a secular-
communal divide that has forever left the saffron parivar suspect in
the eyes of the so-called secular forces.
That factor is a major hindrance in the repeat of 1989 that witnessed
the combined Opposition quit en masse from the eighth Lok Sabha —
albeit in the final stages of its life – over the Bofors issue.
Coupled with it is the glut of smeared reputations across the
political spectrum that leaves the choice between lesser and bigger
instances of graft or loot of public money.
Ranging from the Congress to the BJP to regional parties such as the
DMK, AIADMK, the RJD and the Samajwadi Party, almost every party has
had its share of sleaze — big and small. Our multi-party system is so
much at the mercy of unscrupulous corporate entities — for funding and
other kind of logistics — that cronyism and questionable patronage are
the order of the day.
Collude or get cast aside. The message gets reinforced with each
election, change of government and ministers. India needs a
Jayaprakash Narayan or a VP to mobilize people against the pernicious
system. None fits the bill in the obtaining crowd of power hungry
politicos.

Late PV Narasimha Rao’s great contribution to the polity is that he
forced the BJP to lean forever on the RSS for its survival – after
1992, the BJP just got stuck with the Extreme Right and after Gujarat
2002 it will be an uphill task for it to get out from there on the
national level. The tragedy of the congress is that it has now to bear
with the likes of Raja and DMK, comprising with all and sudry over
corruption and related crimes. May be the likes of Salman Khursheed
and Kapil Sibal could do some good to the image of the congress in the
future. Rest are as damaging as Kalmadi.

Dear Ziauddin Shafi,
You are being simplistic about the left-right division. You are
obviously ignoring the historical factor of the congress movement of
having been a host to the so called rightists as well as the leftists.
You are also brushing aside the latest trend in Karnataka, Bihar, MP
and Gujarat, where the BJP is becoming a practical alternative to the
congress party for the minorities.
As for the congress party’s image, Salman Khurshid is a very fine
gentleman, who is also a very likeable person even for many in the
BJP, but Kapil Sibal is an abrasive, over-bearing personality, who has
many detractors within his own party. He has also brought much
ridicule for the congress party, by his total support for Raja.

Sharmaji,
Nice thing that you brought V. P. Singh in focus – a maverick in true
terms on several counts.
But then , Sirjee, those were different times and these are different
times. The revolt that Mr. Advani laments about is not going to come
from within the system. The mainstream polity – Congress, BJP and
regional parties included – has just about stopped being a
representational polity. Despite its communal and casteist fallout
V.P. Singh atleast represented the caste aspirations of control over
the power structure within the state apparatus (in case anybody thinks
reservations were about jobs – well, the Mandal commission
recommendations for governent jobs amounted to about less than 0.1
percent for the total workforce all over the country) . Where does the
current polity stand in comparison ? We may want to start small –
preserving the current growth rate that our aspiring middle class has
gotten so much accustomed to. Do the policies of any of the mainstream
polity really work towards it – as against the “autopilot” our markets
and economy are relegated to ? Crisis in agrarian and rural economy
come much later – something that ,IMHO, none of the political parties
are really in a position to grasp , both in terms of willingness and
competency. Climate induced Un-certainity and its fallout doesn’t even
figure in our great national debate.
The wonderful movie on Titanic provided us a great cinematic metaphor
– Re-arrenging the deck chairs – so often used in Western (promonently
North American) media . With the current political arrangements and
debates , unfortunately, this is what we are seeing.
I honestly hope being off the mark in my assessment here, but somehow
the more I see tone and tenor of debate in our national polity the
more I am getting convinced about this being the case.

Honorable L K Advani is getting too okd. He comes from the fascist RSS
family. I wish, for the record at least, he ought to admit to the fact
that he was sidelined, if not barred altogethe, over his remark on
Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the most hated person in RSS organization, being
secular. Jinnah was truly secular. He donated his Bombay real estate,
a bungalow on Malabar Hill, to Bombay University in his will. Bombay
university senate debated the issue but almost all the members were
either Brahmins or their fellow travelers. They rejected the offer.
Why would a Muslim president of newly established country of Pakistan
consider Bombay University or any other Indian institution worthy of
his generosity? My point is that challenging the party rom within is
common to all parties including BJP/RSS. Before Jinnah formed a
separate Muslim League, he was a member of the Congress party in good
standing. Did Congress forgave him of his rebellion? Did any other
Hindu ever forgave him for his actions? Talk is cheap. AQll decisions
from local to national are taken by few at the top of the party
hierarchy. In Congress Sonia Gandhi decides who should be what, say
what, do what. The very same thing is seen in BJP. All decisions are
taken by one person. Barring daily, routine business. Most all other
regional parties do exactly the same. Mulayam Yadav, Mamata Banerjee,
Mayawati, Bal/Uddhav Thackeray, M Karunanidhi, J Jayalalithaa are all
made in the same mould. Party members do not have any say in the
decision making process. They just put their thumb print on. India has
no credible democracy. Candidates for local as general elections are
carefully selected by political bosses. Not in America or for that
matter in any other country that I know. In Banana Republic, that is
India, oops, Bharat, monkey business is the order of the day. L K
Advani may lament as much as he want to. It is his right, right?

Advani’s act of statesmanship?

Lal Krishna Advani is an emotional man easily moved to tears. Some
might consider that a personality flaw because leaders come across as
weak while betraying emotions in public. Their task is to wipe tears
of the dispossessed rather than wallowing in self-grief.
But Pandit Nehru was an emotional man. So was Vajpayee. Did that make
them lesser leaders? Not really. Those were men who cared and insisted
on making that known to people. Nehru’s quick temper didn’t show him
as vulnerable. It was a measure of his hold over those who got a taste
of it. Vajpayee’s myriad moods contributed to his mystique.
The housekeeper at Teen Murti House when it was the Prime Minister’s
official residence, Bimla Sindhi, once told me that Vajpayee wept like
a child at Panditji’s funeral. I was a witness myself to his very
evident sense of grief over Sanjay Gandhi’s demise in an air crash. He
called it “surya-ast” (sunset) in a style hard to imitate.
Grieving and celebrating with rivals makes a polity richer and
conducive to consensus building. Amid such basic bonhomie, if one has
the courage to say sorry or accept mistake—for a wrong done or a dart
misdirected — the ambience becomes so much more creative. That’s where
Advani’s apology to Sonia Gandhi over the Swiss bank account
allegation she termed as baseless, gives one hope.
There were some out of turn statements by Congress leaders on the BJP
patriarch’s regret letter. But officially, the AICC restricted itself
to calling it a welcome step. I’m not sure whether it will set the
tone for a respectable idiom in our political discourse. But it’s a
happy respite from invectives, abuses and reckless defiling of
reputations.
The ruling combination and the opposition must steadfastly keep their
genuine differences. They’d do well, however, to keep rhetoric from
denigrating into crass mudslinging. If it isn’t possible at all levels
of rank and file, at least the top leadership must consciously strive
for a relationship of mutual respect despite differences.
A model in this regard could be the changed chemistry between Sonia
and Sushma Swaraj, the Leader of Opposition who threatened to launch
Quit India Movement II in 2004 if the Congress president were to
become prime minister.
They have today a fairly cordial equation that encourages them to
exchange notes on even family matters. Now they don’t need a third
person to communicate on key issues. As it takes two to tango, the
credit is theirs jointly.
Sonia enjoyed a fairly good equation with even Vajpayee. He was the
first person she called after the terrorist attack on Parliament. She
by then had returned home and was anxious to know whether the PM was
safe. Later, when the late Chandrashekhar was indisposed, she drove
down to his residence to convince him to travel abroad for treatment.
I’m sure that they aren’t going to spare any opportunity to pin each
other down politically. But Advani’s apology to Sonia could be a
precursor to a good working relationship— in Parliament and on other
forums.
Last November, Sonia and her son Rahul had dropped by at Advani’s room
in Parliament House for a cup of tea, on being told by his daughter
Pratibha that it was her dad’s birthday. Here’s wishing them loads of
such conviviality in 2011 and beyond.

Mr. Advani is neither the CBI nor the Supreme Court.
If he has expressed regret over the allegation that the family of
Sonia Gandhi has held secret Swiss bank accounts, it is welcome. But,
it only means that he has given the family a benefit of doubt.
There are people in this country like Mr. Swamy and Mr. Gurumurthy who
would not “regret” having made such allegations – they would rather
prove it in a court of law.
Until then – peace.

Dear Shri Vinod Sharma,
This is one of your better articles and I commend it.
I too was first dismayed to read media reports that A dvani has
“apologised” to Sonia Gandhi about the BJP task force allegation that
she has/had bank account/s. S.Gurumurthy has explained that the Delhi
media, never found wanting in showing the BJP and particularly Advani
in poor light, converted a simple ‘regret’ from him into an earth-
shaking ‘apology’.
What the regret/apology has done is to bring the focus back on Sonia
Gandhi’s Swiss Bank accounts, the reports of which the media had
earlier quickly swept under the carpet. What confounds me also is why
the friends of the congress party in US, who had filed a defamation
suit for $100million for precisely the same reason (her having Swiss
bank accounts) againdt some Hindu organisations in the US, later
withdrew the suit unceremoniously.
Now I hope the media will pursue the matter in right earnest. Let this
forum set the ball rolling.

bibi dimple intellectual corruption is more dangerous than financial
corruption.
.
No. Hundred and one times we have said that money corruption, like all
the current raging controversy on the spectrum scandal (Rs. 1.76 lakh
crores), the country’s largest fraud, is a by-product of the most
serious intellectual corruption which is the Gangotri of all other
varieties of corruption (India’s Intellectual Desert, DSA-1999, Rs.
50).
GANDHI AS KING OF CORRUPTION
The tragedy, however, is this all-important “intellectual corruption”
is kept totally hidden and our attention is diverted only to “money
corruption” which is magnified and repeated daily through TV, print
media, films, speeches etc. So much so the people are made to believe
that “money corruption” is the most serious disease killing India.
No. It is not money corruption. India is the victim of intellectual
corruption.
This variety corruption is hidden because those indulging in it are
our ruling Bhoodevatas. This is the secret.
M.K. Gandhi was the king of this intellectual corruption.
And yet the ordinary people go on talking of only the money
corruption.
FLOURISHING GOD BUSINESS
This itself proves how much we are blinded by the Brahminical
propaganda.
Look at the latest example of the 102 unthinking SC/ST/BCs who went to
Sabarimala and died there for nothing. Where is the money corruption
here? Brahmin priests are promoting a superstition of the makarajyoti,
to see which millions go there and die like flies. This is part of the
Brahminical “god business”. This is intellectual corruption.
BRAHMINIST MONOPOLY
Even a “marxist govt.” of Kerala, which controls the Sabarimala
temple, dare not touch the “god business” fearing the wrath of the
godmen who control the god. Is this “money corruption”?
Promoting superstition, blind belief, all sorts of humbugs like yoga,
astrology, god business, Kumbh mela, Hindu racism (untouchability),
merit mantra, and many more — all these are not part of money
corruption but “intellectual corruption” which is the exclusive
monopoly of the Brahminists.
The Kerala Govt. rejected a probe into makarajyoti because the entire
lot of 2% Brahminists and their tail will lose leadership over the
business called “Hindu religion” once the SC/ST/BCs come to know that
makarajyoti is a man-made bullshit. As the Assembly election is
nearing, marxist’s can’t go against Brahminists.
GOVT. PROTECTING CORRUPTION
Justice V.R. Krishna Iyer, the most famous Brahmin leader of Kerala
wearing a marxist garb, is silent because of the jati interest.
Where is the money corruption here?
Here is a case of a govt. itself protecting the “intellectual
corruption” of the rulers of India who fearing a threat to their
rulership, are diverting our attention from “”intellectual corruption”
to “money corruption”.
Shoot down the intellectual corruption, all other corruptions
including the money corruption will commit suicide.

May be Ram Autar is right that we suffer from Intellectual Corruption.
But that has been part of human culture which invented the concept of
God and gave him supreme Abstract powers. The purveyors of his
thoughts, actions, acceptance, and/or rejections of human acts were
called Brahmins, Priests, Bishops, Mullahs, Imams , Lamas etc.etc. Yet
we must admit that Intellectual field stops where reasoning on faith
becomes futile. Even when Science & Technology may replace GOD, the
human reasoning becomes limitless and becomes infinity.
Our problem is that common man thinks Religion & God is the final
symbol of universal power because Spirituality is not understood since
it does have not have Human form and is not manifested in
Human(social) actions.

I think the present-day India with all its technological glory and
upward mobility can find politically-correct, common-sense solutions
to most issues and problems. With regard to swiss-bank accounts, if a
certain public leader who holds a public office is accused, then the
ball is in his or her court to disprove it. The onus is on them to
disprove it. All they have to do is to call a press-conference and
show that they don’t have swiss-bank accounts. So, what is the big
problem here? If such public figures don’t want to do that, the bright
Indian common-man will assume that they really have those accounts. I
think what is being asked is fair and square.

Earlier, leaders used to command respect from the public which is fast
evaporating. There is some fault on part of media also as a mere
regret is published as apology. Any person does not deserve apology
unless he or she is exonerated with a legal probe. With widespread
corruption going under Congress led govt., Sonia Gandhi cannot get a
complete clean image. Being a foreigner, she will always be doubted
and therefore, till she is Congress President, she must ensure nothing
wrong happens and if happens, there is proper action taking
irrespective of their govt. survives or not. The countrymen opinion is
that Karunanidhi should have been raided and by not raiding
Karunanidhi, Congress has put itself into doubt and public feels
Congress has hand in glove in 2G spectrum scam and therefore, both
Congress and DMK are holding eachothers hand. Karunanidhi had demanded
the telecom ministry particularly and with A Raja as telecom minister.
Irrespective of parties, people should keep some personal bondings

He’d also do well to talk less and do more — an advice I once gave him

Nice to know you are a fan of Baba Ramdev. He does exude honesty and
freshness. THough to run a nation, you probably need more– economic
growth, foreign policy, investments, law order etc. And not just
unraveling blackmoney.
But it won’t be a bad idea in case he were a kingmaker and not a king.
He certainly has appeal across all sections and especially in small
towns.
However that may end up being his undoing. Mayawati is already uneasy
with him; Brinda Karat tried to label him as a tantric, superstitious
HIndu using cannibalisitic methods– her mentality applauds the murders
of Mao and Stalin, but not the healthy, good work of Ramdev.
:D :D
And if Digvijay and COngress try to make fun of him by labelling him

the congress by 5% vote reducing it to just 19% of all India

parliamentarians across the political spectrum , and we can recall
many witty exchanges between political leaders belonging to opposite
sides.But if one politician of recent times who it appears is just
beginning to learn it , is Sonia Gandhi. .
The servility of the average Congress politician put her on that
pedestal.She is enjoying it. But many like me see a ceratin “gulami ki
mansikta “in the blind worship which is promoted by the Congress
Party. Obviously that contempt and animosity is always visible in her
manner and statements. and I think this also a part of her poltical
strategy. But probably she is realizing that this strategy also
imposes serious limitations in reaching out .
As for L K Advani, he is veteran politician with considerable
experience. I see more of a poltical motive behind the letter of
regret. It would be silly to,presume that his regret amounts to
absolving the Gandhis of all charges of unaccounted money and money
laundering, if and when the evidence comes out. Although in the
process he has undermined the Committee set up by his own party which
did the study, but then the negative fall-out for him , is probably of

In any case, these leaders of all political parties think themselves
to belong to one big family of politicians in the country. Their
benefits do not stop when they are even out of power. They always live
and get their works done whether in or out of power. Their political
differences do not stand in the way.
The hostility which they show to each other in public or in tv studios
is only for the masses for to gain political points with the masses of
the country. It is only the people who get fooled while the leaders
always become buddies as soon as they are out of the tv studios or out

So I am not as much excited as the media has made it to be an exciting

It is said that once when Sardar Patel was arguing a case in the

kept it inside his pocket and continued with his argument. Only later
people came to know that the telegram carried the message about the
death of his wife. He never showed any overt emotions, despite being a
loving husband.
You have mentioned the names of Nehru, Vajapayee and Advani, who could
all be moved by their emotions to display publicly their anger or
grief or even happiness. But we have in Karnataka politicians who have
made emotionalism a political weapon. Deve Gowda and his two political
heavy-weight sons regularly cry in public ostensibly to show their
grief at the plight of farmers, of whom these worthies are the self-
appointed guardians. Of late Yeddyurappa too has taken a leaf out of
the thick book authored by the Gowdas titled “100 different ways of
shedding crocodile tears”.
At the last count the book had sold four copies, three complimentary
ones to the Gowdas and one bought by Yeddy.

Godhra verdict and criminal, communal journalism..

Godhra carnage, in which 59 Hindu pilgrims were burnt to death by a
muslim mob, has been a 4-letter word from criminal and communal
journalists in India.
The idea peddled by
1. Congress,
2. Congress peddling journalists,
3. thug communists and
4. callous lieful politicians like Lalu and Mulayam has been that
Gujrat riots had no relation to Godhra massacre. That the Gujrat riots
were not a sponteneous reaction to the sheer brutality of the Godhra
burnings. The idea they peddled or insinuated was that the Gujrat
riots were pre-planned and possible even the Godhra burnings pre-
planned by the victims and their sympathizers themselves.
As I have said, the intellectual dishonesty of that communal cabal
knows no limits.
The Gujrat riots were uised by the same communal class for distorting
facts.
How did over 100 Gujrat policement die trying to confront the mobs and
protect the citizens ?
Did they die protecting Hindus from Muslim rioters or protecting
Muslims from Hindu rioters ?
How did over 200 Hindus dies in the riots following the Godhra
carnage ? Did they commit suicide ?
The point is, the Gujrat riots, were just that. Riots provoked by a
brutal cold blooded massacre. Yes many innocents died from both
communities in the riots, many lost property and the state must learn
lessons, correct its mistakes, hold those accountable who did not do
enough to protect but should never communalize it in a thuggish,
callous political way as Congress and large sections of criminal

Mr. Shenoy, while I always agree with your views on most of the
subjects discussed here, I fail to understand the logic behind
“humanitarian demand for compensation to those found – not guilty”.
Why do they deserve any compensation? Are they the only ones in the
country who have been behind the bars only to be found – not guilty –
by a court of law. As far as I know, there is no such provision under
the law and we should not set a precedence.
If we were to start compensating everyone who had been wrongly
detained while the case carried on for years, then by same yardstick,
let’s start putting the lawyers behind the bar who fight cases for
criminals whose guilt/crime is proved by the courts.

While I don’t intend to get into the “compensation
debate” (specifically, how much compensation) – we do have a lot of
“pending clean-up” to be done with our judicial processes. Several
undertrials – casually detained by our law enforcement agencies have
wasted precious years of their lives. A bigger underlying question is
how do we make the law enforcement agencies accountable for not
commiting these – well – crimes ? Even further , how do we ensure the
law enforcement agencies are not under pressure to hastily find a
culprit ?
Another point , given the constraints under which our judicial process
operates – are you sure you want to penalise the defending lawyers ?
Do you really want lawyers turning down cases even at the slightest
hint of “court failure” ?

I see your point of view. There is no provision in the Indian legal
system to pay compensation to those found “not guilty” in a criminal
case.
But, if you see the issue dispassionately, and also see how these
people were “found to have guilt on their hands” and also the police
inefficiency and propensity to find short cuts, irrespective of the
state, an innocent Muslim has more chances of getting arrested and
jailed indefinitely, without bail, than an innocent Hindu. It was from
this point of view I made the suggestion. But, we all are the aam

One observation (a bit deviated from main topic) require clarification
at my end. Hope someone will enlighten in fair exchange of words

– Mr L K Advani described M.A Jinnah to be secular (despite his
politics and struggle for separation lead to creation of Pakistan).
Somewhat praise on his remarks to the father of Pakistan during his
visit in 2006 lead him to great trouble and had to resign from
leadership of his party.
– Down the road Jaswant Singh another BJP politician describe Jinnah
above Nehru and more indian in his book. Invited troubles of criticism
against himself.
– Mr A.B Vajpayee, visited Pakistan and made Lahore declaration,
offered hand shakes of friendship.
It seems BJP had more open soft corner towards Pakistan then other
major ruling party i.e. Congress. Percieved as more hardline
fundamentalist over here is this a party’s vision or an opinion of
few?

In rest of the book there are many more comments holding Jinnah
responsible for using communalism as a political tool and acting as a
crass communalist while in his personal life he acted secular

Jinnah used Religion and religion alone, in support of his demand for
Pakistan. You call it a tool for seperate state , I call it a devious
ideology that has given birth to Islamic fundamentalism.
He beleived, as he said repeatedly including in his presidential
address in 1940 at Lahore that Hindus and Muslims cannot live together
in one state. I have quoted his spech in a seperate comment.
Jinnah was communal in his political ideology to the core. Just read
his speeches.
Also his speech in Karachi after Partition , which is often quoted, is
him trying to now seperate the state from religious parties after
using religion to form the state in the first place.
Unprincipled, unethical and dishonest politician. Thats what Jinnah
was and should be seen as.

@ Usman,
Well when Jaswant Singh or Advani praised Jinnah, they were indirectly
indicting Pakistan for what it had become after Gen Smiling- Cobra-Zia
siezed power.
What they were trying to say is, “look you guys don’t have to tolerate
fanatics as leaders or think Hafeez Saeed is the true role model of a
good Pakistani. Even your founder had a gentle vision where religion
cannot be imposed on non Muslims; that a true Pakistani should not be
a fundamantalist at odds with civlizations of the world…”
I think Jaswant and Advani meant well. In fact it was an indirect
barbat what P{akistan had become. But wrenched out of context, it was
used by the party to have a go at them. In this, the principle prodder
was the COngress…

the party (Old JanSangh and BJP in pre-90s) fought the elections with
issues like uniform civil code, article 370 etc. But awareness among
the mass then was limited, they got emotionally carried away with
Congress slogans like “Garibi Hatao”. Early 90s BJP also came with
emotional ideas (“Mandir Wahi Banayenge”) which gave dividends. Since
then, it has stuck to a conservative image and banking too much on
emotional tactics, holding numerous “Yatra”s.
During this transition of BJP, the old timers (of Jan Sangh) who are
still continuing with today’ (changed) party have got stuck. Their old
school of openness is today considered as indiscipline and these views
are no more welcomed by the party (BJP already has whole media against
it. These leader’s statements get twisted in the media reports. The
party cannot further risk its patriotic image by accepting its own
leader’s words, praising the leader of an “enemy country”). I wonder
what actually descipline means, when an honest person like Jaswant
Singh can be expelled from party for having different views than party
but a corrupt chief minister is allowed to continue. But then, this is
the compromise which every party has done for power. What varies is
degree.
(Post 2000, globalisation and electronic media have generated a
conscious middle class who won’t go by emotions, instead ask for
issues. Old JanSangh with today’s middle class would have provided a
good alternative. Unfortunately BJP always misses to feel pulse of the
people).

Dear Shri Vinay,
You have expressed some strong views here about the BJP.
Ram jethmalani has been co-opted as a Rajya Sabha MP as a conscious
decision for adding to its fire power and image in the upper house. It
is not that the BJP was not aware of ram Jethmalani’s unpredictability
and whimsical ways. Still, he is an asset to the party.
The congress party too made several public figures as their Rajya
Sabha MPs; Justice Ranganath Mishra, M.S.Gill etc. But the difference
is that these worthies have been reduced to the status of errand boys
and Mr.Gill particularly evokes only derisive pity.
As regards old timers, let me tell you that the congress party too has
suffered loss of leaders like Firoze Gandhi, Acharya Kripalani,
Rajaji, Minoo Masani, Jaya Prakash Narayan, Nijalingappa, Kamarajetc.
etc.
Lastly, Advani is an intellectual leader and a great organiser. Even
his bitterest criticsand enemies admire the way he rebuilt the
shattered party with just 2 seats in the ‘84 elections to the
posoition of largest single party in 1996 and then to become the
ruling party in 1998 and again in 1999.
As two other posts herebelow show, Advani has neither “praised” Jinnah
nor “apologised” to Sonia. You must give credit to the media for
trying to somehow malign him and if possible finish him off.
The one single reason which it can never live down is the terribly
hurtful truth in his description of the media: “when asked to merely
bend, it (the media) crawled.”

Shenoyji,
When I said Ram Jethmalani having opposite views still continuing with
the party, I actually meant the democracy alive in the party, unlike
Congress where everyone nods to high command. All the leaders of
Congress you have brought in are before Indira Gandhi’s era. After
that, who is the well respected tall leaders from Congress who are not
Gandhis Compare that to BJP. (Sorry, if my ealier post did not bring
out this sense properly. But I DID mention in my earlier post about
media twisting the leader’s statements, which leaves the party
worrying about its image).
You would agree Vajpayee and Advani had difference of opinions on
various issues. But their loyalty towards their party was unmatched.
Because of this culture, difference of opinion and healthy intelectual
debates never meant indiscipline in the party before. Today, a person
is ready to break the party and take a fraction of it just to become
CM; in contrast to Vajpayee’s speech during the vote of confidence
during his thirteen-day government(1996). I consider, defending
helplessness of today’s party is a disrepect to those ideals fought.
Vajpayee is the only person, who had no family tags and who was
“actually” chosen as PM by Indians. Rest are because of nomination
(Nehru also was not Congress’s first choice) or coalition politics.
Bowing to Obama’s demands or attacking girls in Pub, both are not part
of “Swadeshi Culture”, which Sangh cherished for long. BJP needs to
get its identity back and its top leaders should stop considering
themselves helpless, when they deal with corruption. Hope, I have made
myself clear this time.

Hello Mr. Usman
Let me also chip in to share my thoughts with you on this subject.
While on a visit to Pakistan some years back, Mr. LK Advani had only
quoted the vision of Mr. Jinnah and had only recalled the his famous
address to the Pakistan’s first constituent Assembly on August 11,
1947. I quote below some lines from his address
“You are free to go to your temples, you are free to go to your
mosques or to any other place of worship in the State of Pakistan.You
may belong to any religion or caste or creed. That has nothing to do
with the business of the state”.
There is no doubt that this rare speech by the founder of Muslin
country was a watershed in the history. He gave practical shape to his
vision by appointing a Hindu as the first law minister of Pakistan to
indicate that Quaid did not want politics to be influenced by faith.
It is another matter that Mr. Mandal resigned in 1950 once the pledge
made by Jinnah was squandered by his successors.
Mr. Advani had only recalled this vision of Jinnah and in fact meant
how the dreams of the founder of Pakistan have been dashed when his
successors turned Pakistan into a theocratic state in contrast to the
secular vision of Mr. Jinnah.
Although Mr. Advani had not said anything which could be construed as
praise for Mr. Jinnah, the media in our country greatly distorted his
version to give an impression that he had in fact praised the founder
of Pakistan. The congress party exploited it hard to get political
value. The RSS was also taken in by the rhetoric of the media. It is
now well known the hard times through which Mr. Advani had to pass.
But ultimately, his party and RSS found the truth and Mr. Advani has
regained his top position in the party.
It is true that BJP always worked seriously for an Indo-Pak friendship
despite having been cheated by Pakistan in terms of Parliament attack,
Kargil war and Lahore declaration signed during Mr. Vajpayee’s vist to
Pakistan.. It is also a fact that Mr. Vajpayee had visited Minar-e-
Pakistan in Lahore but then the Jamait people had washed it with milk
as they thought the monument was sullied by the visit of a Kafir.
Well, I am not adding anything from my side. These facts are all well
documented and are part of the history.
Hope you got some answer to your query.
Regards
BNA

Dear Shri Usman Chaudhry,
Please know that L.K.Advani didn’t describe Jinnah as a secular. On a
visit to his kabr, he wrote the following :
In his early years, Sarojini Naidu, a leading luminary of India’s
freedom struggle, described Mr. Jinnah as an “Ambassador of Hindu-
Muslim Unity”. His address to the Constituent Assembly of Pakistan on
August 11, 1947 is a classic, a forceful espousal of a Secular State
in which every citizen would be free to practise his own religion but
the State shall make no distinction between one citizen and another on
the grounds of faith.
“My respectful homage to this great man.”
Please find the word, secular in this tribute Advani paid to Jinnah.
It is a media created myth that Jinnah was called secular by Advani.
As for the congress party, it adopts different policies for different
religions. When it is anything to do with Hindus or Hinduism, it is
pseudo secular at its worst. When it is dealing with issues concerning
Muslims or Christians, it is secular-fundamentalist., supporting the
cause espoused by the particular group.

The long explanation you gave on Advani’s behalf was unnecessary. In
short he told his hosts that the Pakistan they have created wasn’t the

I would say, whatever the BJP does, it does up front. What the
congress party does, it always does things behind the back of the
Indian parliament. A few examples:
1. Jawaharlal Nehru committed India to take the Kashmir issue to the
UN almost secretly and even against the advice of the military, which
was on the verge of throwing your rag tag army out from Indian soil.
2. Indira Gandhi agreed to release 93000 soldiers of the defeated Pak
army without geting anything in return-behind the back of the Indian
parliament. In this she at least had some common sense NOT TO TAKE THE
ISSUE TO THE UN SECURITY COUNCIL, which would have gladly advised
India to undo the partition of Pakistan.
3.The latest instance is the clandestine agreement signed by our

Jinnah on Hindus and Muslims..
“………………………….
It is extremely difficult to appreciate why our Hindu friends fail to
understand the real nature of Islam and Hinduism. They are not
religions in the strict sense of the word, but are, in fact, different
and distinct social orders; and it is a dream that the Hindus and
Muslims can ever evolve a common nationality; and this misconception
of one Indian nation has gone far beyond the limits and is the cause
of more of our troubles and will lead India to destruction if we fail
to revise our notions in time. The Hindus and Muslims belong to two
different religious philosophies, social customs, and literature[s].
They neither intermarry nor interdine together, and indeed they belong
to two different civilisations which are based mainly on conflicting
ideas and conceptions. Their aspects [=perspectives?] on life, and of
life, are different. It is quite clear that Hindus and Mussalmans
derive their inspiration from different sources of history. They have
different epics, their heroes are different, and different episode[s].
Very often the hero of one is a foe of the other, and likewise their
victories and defeats overlap. To yoke together two such nations under
a single state, one as a numerical minority and the other as a
majority, must lead to growing discontent, and final. destruction of
any fabric that may be so built up for the government of such a state.
…”
Jinnah went on to say that seed of Pakistan was laid the day first
Hindu was converted to Islam.
Jinnah family itself converted to Islam from Hinduism, just 2
generation before Jinnah.
This is the same philosophy as of Al-Qaida and Taleban.

newspapers are reporting that Raymond Davis, the CIA contractor in
jail in Lahore facing murder charges for the execution-slayings of two
young men believed to by Pakistani intelligence operatives, was
actually involved in organizing terrorist activities in Pakistan.
As the Express Tribune, an English-language daily that is linked to
the International Herald Tribune, reported on Feb. 22:
“The Lahore killings were a blessing in disguise for our security
agencies who suspected that Davis was masterminding terrorist
activities in Lahore and other parts of Punjab,” a senior official in
the Punjab Police claimed.
“His close ties with the TTP [the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan] were
revealed during the investigations,” he added. “Davis was instrumental
in recruiting young people from Punjab for the Taliban to fuel the
bloody insurgency.” Call records of the cellphones recovered from
Davis have established his links with 33 Pakistanis, including 27
militants from the TTP and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi sectarian outfit, sources
said.
The article goes on to explain a motive for why the US, which on the
one hand has been openly pressing Pakistan to move militarily against
Taliban forces in the border regions abutting Afghanistan, would have
a contract agent actively encouraging terrorist acts within Pakistan,
saying:
Davis was also said to be working on a plan to give credence to the
American notion that Pakistan’s nuclear weapons are not safe. For this
purpose, he was setting up a group of the Taliban which would do his
bidding.
According to a report in the Economic Times of India, a review by
police investigators of calls placed by Davis on some of the cell
phones found on his person and in his rented Honda Civic after the
shooting showed calls to 33 Pakistanis, including 27 militants from
the banned Pakistani Taliban, and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, an group
identified as terrorist organization by both the US and Pakistan,
which has been blamed for the assassination of Prime Minister Benazir
Bhutto, and to the brutal slaying of Wall Street Journal reporter
Daniel Pearl.
Meanwhile, while the US continues to claim that Davis was “defending
himself” against two armed robbers, the Associated Press is reporting
that its sources in Pakistan’s intelligence agency, the Inter-Service
Intelligence (ISI), are telling them that Davis “knew both men he
killed.”
The AP report, which was run in Thursday’s Washington Post, claims the
ISI says it “had no idea who Davis was or what he was doing when he
was arrested,” that he had contacts in Pakistan’s tribal regions, and
that his visa applications contained “bogus references and phone
numbers.”
The article quotes a “senior Pakistani intelligence official” as
saying the ISI “fears there are hundreds of CIA contractors presently
operating in Pakistan without the knowledge of the Pakistan government
or the intelligence agency.”
In an indication that Pakistan is hardening its stance against caving
to US pressure to spring Davis from jail, the Express Tribune quotes
sources in the Pakistani Foreign Office as saying that the US has been
pressing them to forge backdated documents that would allow the US to
claim that Davis worked for the US Embassy. President Obama, Secretary
of State Hillary Clinton and other top US officials have been trying
to claim Davis was an Embassy employee, and not, as they originally
stated, and as he himself told arresting police officers, just a
contractor working out of the Lahore Consulate. The difference is
critical, since most Embassy employees get blanket immunity for their
activities, while consular employees, under the Vienna Conventions,
only are given immunity for things done during and in the course of
their official duties.
The US had submitted a list of its Embassy workers to the Foreign
Office on Jan. 20, a week before the shooting. That list had 48 names
on it, and Davis was not one of them. A day after the shooting, the
Embassy submitted a “revised” list, claiming rather improbably that it
had “overlooked” Davis. At the time of his arrest, Davis was carrying
a regular passport, not a diplomatic one, though the Consulate in
Lahore rushed over the following day and tried to get police to let
them swap his well-worn regular passport for a shiny new diplomatic
one (they were rebuffed). Davis was also carrying a Department of
Defense contractor ID when he was arrested, further complicating the
picture of who his real employer might be.

You are being as judgemental as Nanawati. My point was that Nanawati
has proved to be as unreliable — if you like — as U C Banerjee. But
both were senior retired judges and should not be rubbished on the
basis of the verdict of a sessions court. The matter will go upto SC
and let us wait for its take on the case.

Vinodji,
you said,
@BV Shenoy and Saarthak
“I met Advaniji in the corridors of Parliament yesterday. He himself
spoke approvingly about my blog on his letter to Sonia. For me the
matter ends there.”
In my very firast response to this blog, I had commended you for
writing one of your better articles. I had also approvingly said that
Advani did the right thing in writing to Sonia Gandhi expressing
“regrets” for the distress caused to her by the report.
What I and many others on this blog have objected to is the media’s
spin to the whole issue. One paper said Advani “apologised to Sonia
Gandhi after she wrote a “terse” letter to him.Your own paper said
that Adbvani “apologised” toMadam for his “gaffe”.
I, however, couldn’t get confirmation to a rumour that Sonia Gandhi
summoned the head of the deptt of English of JNU asking him to explain
which of the dozen odd meanings of “terse” given in Oxford English
Distionery would apply to her letter:
terse: concise, succinct, compact, brief, short, to the point, crisp,
pithy, elliptical, epigrammatic, abrupt, curt, brusque, laconic,
short, clipped, blunt.
Also, he was asked to explain the meaning of “gaffe”, to which he had
instantly replied “Madam, what you did to Vajapayee when you said,
Vajapayeeji ki dimagee halat theek nahin hai” was the exact meaning of
gaffe.

But, It is not fiction that Sonia Gandhi called Vajapayee a man with a

Before India ever engages Pakistan..
—————————————————————————————
Before India engages itself with Pakistan, India must ask itself, what
has been the result of previots engagements and accords with
Pakistan ?.
1. Did Nehru-Liaqat accord stop the annhilation of Hindu, Sikh
minorities in Pakistan ? Is anything left of the 18-25% Hindus and
Sikhs that made of West Pakistan population ?
2. Did the Shimla accord between Indira and Bhutto, where in India
returned 12,000 sq miles of Pak territory and 93,000 Pak prisoners,
achive anything for India ? Did our large heartedness reduce Pak
enimity or just re-inforce it ? Did Pakistan keep its part of the
bargain to not interfere in Indian Kashmir affairs or did it just do
the opposite ?
3. What about the Vajpayee-Sharif Lahore declaration ?
Did Pakistan wait for the ink to dry on the pact , before it sneaked
its forces into Kargil ? To this day it lies abaout it ans as usual is
shameless and brazen about its duplicity. Thats its character as a
nation.
4. What about numerous declarations where Pakistan has committed to
not allow terrorists and militants to operate against India from its
soil ? Do not LeT/Jamat-ul-Dawa and its leaders organize terrorist
acts against India freely from Pakistan, with protection and help from
Pak state itself ?
Any engagement with Pakistan will only lead to India getting
defrauded. India has held up its part of the bargain in spectacular
fashion. The biggest of them all, The Indus water treaty, has survived
wars initiated by Pakistan and numerous terrorist attacks from
Pakistan because of India’s unprecedented commitment. Far from
apreciating India’s honesty, it has not stopped Pakistan from carrying
out the most venal, anti-India propoganda on the water issue.
Almost everytime Pakistan goes to independednt Indus water commission
with charges against India, the commission rules in India’s favour
with cosmetic changes.
The lesson is, we need to be rational and honest to ourselves.
Engagement with a corrupt, criminal entity will serve no purpose and
only emboldens the degenerate.

Lenin used communism to launch world dictatorship of Jews
Finally, the Russian Christian leadership headed by Putin, described
as the “scourge of the Jews”, has realised the dangers of the Jewish
hoax called communism and decided to bury its founding-father Lenin,
after taking out his embalmed body lying in the Moscow Museum. Lenin
who died on Jan.21, 1924 led the Communist Revolution of 1917.
HITLER’S HOLOCAUST
This writer also fell victim to marxism and was under its grip for
about 20 long years until Dr. Ambedkar gave the answer to cure India’s
Brahminical cancer.
In our earlier books, How Marx failed in Hindu India (DSA-1984) and
Dilemma of Class & Caste, we had denounced India’s “sacred thread”
marxists whom we found more dangerous than the Hindu terrorist party
of the Godses. West Bengal and Kerala are the two classic examples to
prove how marxism is milking our people dry — keeping the Brahminical
rulers in power.
BRAHMIN CONTROL OF MARXISM
Lenin, a Jew, founded the Communist Party, to fight the then Christian
rulers of Russia and impose a Jewish dictatorship.
He and his Jewish successors killed more Christians in Russia than
Hitler killing Jews in Germany. The Jews then engineered two world
wars to destroy the Christian leadership of the West and create a
zionist state of Israel.
Marxism promoted Jews in the West and Brahmins in India.
The world took a century to know the truth that communism is a Jewish
conspiracy.
We are writing a book itself on this subject to be published from
London.
MAO REJECTED JEWS
Lenin selected a Brahmin, M.N. Roy, to start the Communist Party in
India and ever since then Brahmins have been controlling the marxist-
maoist parties in India. The current Binayak Sen million-dollar drama
is part of this conspiracy.
Only China broke away from Jewish stranglehold because its founder,
Mao, knew the truth and led the country on the right track to become
the world’s No.1 power.

Complete dis-engagement from Pak is the only rational option under the

Sharmaji,
Nice thing that you brought V.

Shoot down the intellectual corruption, all other corruptions
including the money corruption will commit suicide.

with you 100%.
Your sanity stops there. How do you know all the sabarimala stampede
deaths were entirely belonging to SC/ST/BC??????????
And then you try to fan the fire (a.k.a your stupidity) alleging nexus
between Marxism and Brahminism……………..
Dude go and get your admitted to a mental hospital…………… Corruption of
any kind is dangerous for the country…………..

Irrespective of parties, people should keep some personal bondings
also and there is nothing wrong if they enquire the well being of each
other.

:D :D
And if Digvijay and COngress try to make fun of him by labelling him
as communal– as they do to all Hindus, they are probably going to sink
the congress by 5% vote reducing it to just 19% of all India

If the Subject is being civil and courteous even to one’s political
opponents , then I may submit it was always visible among the great
parliamentarians across the political spectrum , and we can recall
many witty exchanges between political leaders belonging to opposite
sides.But if one politician of recent times who it appears is just
beginning to learn it , is Sonia Gandhi.

The discarded politicians, Laloo and Ram Vilas are already out with

that the Apex court has the last word, if we go by the Shah Bano
judgement. But I would most certainly support anyone who says that
even the thirty one convicted persons get a second and more thorough
look at their cases. It can’t be anybody’s case that the police

I would also support the humanitarian demand for compensation to those
found “not guilty”, since many of them were the sole bread winners for

the work of the Task Force and its findings against the Gandhi (some
would prefer ” Ghandy) family. The release of the Task Force findings
had been attended by the Media , but the story was spiked because of
the names of Gandhis. So atleast Advani’s letter did the good deed

I was not surprised to see you posting a blog on this subject and I
was expecting it to come anytime. I based my presumption on the fact
when HT made it an eight column headline news on the front page.
It is only the people who get fooled while the leaders
always become buddies as soon as they are out of the tv studios or out
of the public view.
So I am not as much excited as the media has made it to be an exciting

It is said that once when Sardar Patel was arguing a case in the
court, he received a telegram; he went through the message and coolly
kept it inside his pocket and continued with his argument. Only later
people came to know that the telegram carried the message about the
death of his wife.

————————————————————————————-
Godhra carnage, in which 59 Hindu pilgrims were burnt to death by a
muslim mob, has been a 4-letter word from criminal and communal
journalists in India.
Yes many innocents died from both
communities in the riots, many lost property and the state must learn
lessons, correct its mistakes, hold those accountable who did not do
enough to protect but should never communalize it in a thuggish,
callous political way as Congress and large sections of criminal
communists and congress peddling media has done.

– Mr L K Advani described M.A Jinnah to be secular (despite his
politics and struggle for separation lead to creation of Pakistan).
Somewhat praise on his remarks to the father of Pakistan during his

against himself.
– Mr A.B Vajpayee, visited Pakistan and made Lahore declaration,
offered hand shakes of friendship.
It seems BJP had more open soft corner towards Pakistan then other

fundamentalist over here is this a party’s vision or an opinion of

He beleived, as he said repeatedly including in his presidential
address in 1940 at Lahore that Hindus and Muslims cannot live together
in one state. I have quoted his spech in a seperate comment.
Jinnah was communal in his political ideology to the core. Just read
his speeches.
Also his speech in Karachi after Partition , which is often quoted, is
him trying to now seperate the state from religious parties after
using religion to form the state in the first place.

BJP does not have a unilateral vision. Unlike Congress, where there is
one at the top and rest are followers, each leader in BJP (a liberal
or a conservative) expresses his own view. People like Ram Jethmalani
hold totally opposite stand on some issues raised by the party but
still continue with the party. Views change with every leader and
sometimes also with time. BJP itself has changed with time. Earlier
the party (Old JanSangh and BJP in pre-90s) fought the elections with
issues like uniform civil code, article 370 etc.

Pakistan of their quaid-e-azam’s dreams. The word secularism is an

Only the PPP, the ANP and the MQM pride in their secular approach.

Vinodji,
I was only trying to clear a doubt our neighbour, Usman Bhai had
expressed about Advani describing Jinnah as a secular. Advani’s
comment was towards the state of Pakistan, which it had become as
against what Jinnah wanted it to be.
I feel secualrism and unsecularism both are cheap, exchangeable
commodities in Pkistani politics.
In India, we have, as George Fernandes had said, two kinds of
people:secualrs and normal. It is for each individual to decide what

It is not merely Advani’s wish. Nearly the whole of India wants
Pakistan to become at least a ghost of a secular state, give at least
breathing space to its minorities and leave them alone. Even if that
is not possible, India will wish Pakistan well even if it steps back
from the religious fundamentalist precipice, off which its death wish

you said, “It seems BJP had more open soft corner towards Pakistan
than other major ruling party….”
3.The latest instance is the clandestine agreement signed by our
novice FM at Sharm-el-Shaikh.

If Congress grave digger Digvijay or any other so called COngress

newspapers are reporting that Raymond Davis, the CIA contractor in
jail in Lahore facing murder charges for the execution-slayings of two
young men believed to by Pakistani intelligence operatives, was
actually involved in organizing terrorist activities in Pakistan.

It is puerile to say that the Nanavati Commission found Umarji guilty

terse: concise, succinct, compact, brief, short, to the point, crisp,

Also, he was asked to explain the meaning of “gaffe”, to which he had

Before India ever engages Pakistan..

Luckily, Vinodji has, in his armoury nothing more lethal than a few
printable gaalis, which too he reserves for a few chosen derelicts.

~~~~ :D :D :) :) SWAMI RAMDEV’S CLARION CALL TO THE
CONGRESS :) :) :D :D ~~~~
:) ____ :) JO HUMSE TAKRYEGA… CHOOR CHOOR HO JAYEGA :) ______ :)
Diggy the grave digger of the COngress threw malicious allegations
against Swami Ramdev and Ramdev has taken up the challenge of taking
on corruption.
The Congress is making a huge huge HUGE !! mistake of underestimating
Swami Ramdev’s popularity. In various previous avatars the Congress
would have invoked, CIA, MOssad, and what not to label Ramdev’s
charges of corruption against the COngress as reactionary and right
wing. In fact once it even labelled Menaka’s marriage to Sanjay as a
CIA plot. :)
:) Ha HA HA !! That is the level of intellect of this wasted
party !! :)
But now the way things are going, the Congress will end up committing
suicide under Digvijay’s spell by not tackling corruption, but
conitinously invoking the BJP !!
Hey guys… I have a felling that Digvijay and one Mani Shankar Aiyar
might be BJP agents or CIA double agents, the way they have pushed
Congress onto this path …
Mani AIyar by first failing as a Sports Minister and then causing
panic as the deadlines drew nearer and finally shouting out scam scam
scam!!
And Digvijay by alienating India by propping up elelments who thought
26/11 is an internl Hindu conspiracy …
What jokers !!
It appears that the lady with the continuous frown has found a place
in the JPC. The opposition has to find someone who can match frown for
frown .
Saw Shalini Singh the ET Corresponent ( on the Telecom beat ) on Lok
Sabha TV yesterday. She also had played a stellar role in exposing the
Scam. She talked extensively on the ” Watchdog Journalists ” versus
the ” Lapdog journalists.” Also what the ” Best Lawyer politician ” of
the country is upto in the Telecom Ministry. Assigning him to that job
was a move to tactfully handle all issues and control damage.
good article
Lenin used communism to launch world dictatorship of Jews
Finally, the Russian Christian leadership headed by Putin, described
as the “scourge of the Jews”, has realised the dangers of the Jewish
hoax called communism and decided to bury its founding-father Lenin,
after taking out his embalmed body lying in the Moscow Museum. Lenin
who died on Jan.21, 1924 led the Communist Revolution of 1917.
HITLER’S HOLOCAUST
This writer also fell victim to marxism and was under its grip for
about 20 long years until Dr. Ambedkar gave the answer to cure India’s
Brahminical cancer.
In our earlier books, How Marx failed in Hindu India (DSA-1984) and
Dilemma of Class & Caste, we had denounced India’s “sacred thread”
marxists whom we found more dangerous than the Hindu terrorist party
of the Godses. West Bengal and Kerala are the two classic examples to
prove how marxism is milking our people dry — keeping the Brahminical
rulers in power.
BRAHMIN CONTROL OF MARXISM
Lenin, a Jew, founded the Communist Party, to fight the then Christian
rulers of Russia and impose a Jewish dictatorship.
He and his Jewish successors killed more Christians in Russia than
Hitler killing Jews in Germany. The Jews then engineered two world
wars to destroy the Christian leadership of the West and create a
zionist state of Israel.
Marxism promoted Jews in the West and Brahmins in India.
The world took a century to know the truth that communism is a Jewish
conspiracy.
We are writing a book itself on this subject to be published from
London.
MAO REJECTED JEWS
Lenin selected a Brahmin, M.N. Roy, to start the Communist Party in
India and ever since then Brahmins have been controlling the marxist-
maoist parties in India. The current Binayak Sen million-dollar drama
is part of this conspiracy.
Only China broke away from Jewish stranglehold because its founder,
Mao, knew the truth and led the country on the right track to become
the world’s No.1 power.
Hey who is this lady with a permanent frown???? Is it an avatar of
Natraj…?
And this best lawyer politician … not Kapil… Dev for sure :) Not the
lottery supporting Abhishek… (now what is wrong with a lottery lawyer,
as long as the lotterywala is a congressi.. :) But then Jaitley can be
called a corporate lawyer, why not Singhvi the lottery lawyer?
Why are you worried? The BJP has on the JPC the laywer who won the
case for Ram Lalla Virajmaan. As for lottery lawyer, see who’s
defending the corporate scamsters in the 2G scam. There is jethmalani,
mukul rohatgi and the entire jingbang you so dearly love.
Sir, you know as well as me. That two Congressis– one a lottery wala
and another the son of an COngress MP who got SALVA -TION, represented
each of the two fueding Amabni brothers and got 15 cr each as fees.
Both these lawyers remain friends and can defend opposing sides as
long as the jingle of coins and the Number of Gandhi pictures they get
on RBI paper is good enough !!! :D
And if that be the ground of objection what do you say about the best
impeachment proceedings. No surprise though , after all the Congress
did a great favour to Ramaswami by abstaining.
Vijay Kumar,
The congress party has several lawyers,
tu in itscked inside its numerous layers,
as it has many flayers,
and some slayers,
apart from a few players.
But all of them are men of clay,
who, with people’s sentiments play,
on scams their mantra is delay, delay,
and who love to sing ‘o’lay, o’lay.
Lady with a permanent frown
also has colour dark brown.
On TV she is full of brawn
wishing that her opponents would drown
in the dark vitriol distilled in her home town.
For tongue-lashing she is well known
always ready with lies home grown
in defence of the scam-tainted crown
and on Modi she goes to town
with three words: down, down, down.
Vijay , Shenoy saab has said it all. The story of the lady with the
frown and the best lawyer politician who smiles too much….
But now who shall take responsibility for the malafide appointment of
CVC.
Is it going to be the PM or the HM.
Who should be held responsible for misguiding the ACC.
Who tried to sabotage and compromise one of the one of the most
important public offices of the country.
Will this Sardarji still hold on to his chair with both hands.
I have been saying this from the beginning and I have no hesitation in
repeating it, even at the cost of being called a Hindu fundamentalist
(which I am most decidedly not): This CVC has been appointed solely at
the insistence of Sonia Gandhi and solely on the consideration of his
being a Christian. If it were not so, he would long ago have been
shown the door/kicked out on the charge of concealing vital
information.
I never disagreed with you.But sadly the way electoral politics
works , the political adavantages of batting for Thomas , in Kerala ,
may still work in favour of the Congress. Who is the loser ? Not Sonia
Gandhi. To some extent , the Congress , but the biggest loser has been
Sardarji. It is the sardarji’s love for that chair which is going to
do him in.
Its interesting to see some of the changes this blog has undergone.
One positive thing is that I do not have to suffer meaningless,
foolish statements about promoting India-Pak friendship from Mr
Sharma, as if that was something that has not being tried by India for
last 60 years , with extremely damaging results for India.
Complete dis-engagement from Pak is the only rational option under the
current character of the Pak state. If the vile and treacherous nature
of the Pak state changes then India’s policy can be changed too.
Meanwhile I would advise every country, particularly USA and India
about dealing with Pakistan.
If you treat Pak state as a civil entity, it will defraud and bite
you, if you treat it like a stray dog, it will serve and bark for you.
~ ~~~~~~ LET US ALL SHED A TEAR FOR HUMANITY ~~~~~ ~
As Pakistan sinks further into a morass of lies, deceit and murder,
let us shed a tear in the memory of Shahbaz Bhatti, its Minister of
Minorities who was assasinated by the Imran Khan backed Taliban and
the ISI.
All for opposing blasphemy and apostasy laws. No one of any repute or
power in Pakisan will vocifeously condemn this. And neither will be
the so called friends of Pakistan, in India. Instead and indeirect
blame will be thrown on all– that unless you angage Pakistan and give
it more aid, this will happen.
Let the world and especially Indians, remember. That we ae living next
to a culture and an entity, which is like a mad rotweiler. Treat and
observe it with care.
This is what Nadeem Paracha, one of the few gutsy and intelligent
Pakistanis had to say
“… For years a convoluted narrative has been circulated by the state,
the clergy, schools and now the electronic media: i.e. Pakistan was
created in the name of Islam (read, a theocratic state). Thus, only
Muslims (mainly orthodox Sunnis) have the right to rule, run and
benefit from this country. ‘Minority’ religions and ‘heretical Islamic
sects’, who are citizens of Pakistan are not to be trusted. They need
to be isolated constitutionally, socially and culturally….”
