Strengthen local police network to fight terror: Gill

Based on the fourth paragraph, it seems, some of the Congressis have
started linking Hindus to this attack. Just as I had suspected.

Strengthen local police network to fight terror: Gill

Indraprasth aka New Delhi - K P S Gill, former director general of
Punjab [ Images ] police, described the Mumbai [ Images ] serial
blasts that rocked Mumbai city on Wednesday as unfortunate. He said
he regretted the wrong policies of the government that has allowed
terrorist outfits from Pakistan to strike India's financial capital.

Gill criticised the Central government's decision of centralising
power to deal with terrorist organisations.

"When we were fighting terrorism in Punjab, we realised that the
answer lay in strengthening the local network. We trained the local
police to keep an eye on terrorist outfits. What can the National
Security Guard do after the terrorist have struck and disappeared?
They are trained to fight terrorist organisations on one on one,"
Gill said.

He also criticised the Congress leadership for telling the United
States that the saffron outfits were also involved in attacks. "Such
statements have done more harm to Indian security system. After all
what do we achieve by reopening the old cases and blaming the saffron
outfits for various incidents," he said.

Gill highlighted the need of consolidation of local police network.
"We have so many vacancies in the police at all level. We need to
fill these vacancies and fight terror with all our power. It is not
possible to prevent terror attacks because the police cannot cover
every inch of the territory. The need of the hour is to strengthen
our local intelligence system, which would help us in overcoming
challenges of the terrorists. This is decidedly the handiwork of the
Inter-Services Intelligence and Lashkar-e-Tayiba [ Images ] with the
help of local outfits like Indian Mujahideen [ Images ]," Gill added.

KPS Gill ji is a great guy. A real policeman. When he says,
strengthen local cops, nobody wants to do that. Except Narendra Modi.
That is one of the reasons, why policing in Gujarat has been so
successful. Modiji listened to  Sardarji.

But Congress party and the secular elite, will not allow the local
police to acquire skills to combat terror activities nor will they
allow the cops to prevent attacks like those that took place in the
last few days (or in the past).

The 'civil' activism ensures that the cops are walking on eggs. The
Congress party both in and out of govt ensures that vote-bank
considerations out weigh all other conditions. Given that status, is
it any surprise that cops are not motivated and look for easy way
out. This is where corruption becomes a hobby !!!

Rahul Gandhi's assertion, not all "terrorism can be stopped" is an
unambiguous instruction to both the cadre and the govt officials,
including PC, the only hawk in the govt, that "no aggressive pursuit
of terrorists or policing reforms" must be undertaken. In other
words, according to Congress party and their pals in the media, the
attacks never took place and  if people are screaming at the top of
their lungs, they must be nuts!

The average Mumbaikar is one pissed off individual, don't expect him
to stay quiet, he will I hope, use his vote like a weapon.
